The CORNU COPIAE baroque orchestra (from Latin: Horn of Plenty) was established in 2016 in Krakow. The name of the group comes from the Greek myth of the horn of Amalthea, filling with whatever its owner wanted. It refers to the extraordinary richness of the baroque and classical repertoire that the orchestra plays.

Its musicians are specialists in the field of historical performance - graduates of the best Polish and foreign music academies, but above all artists who are committed and in love with the music, performing with the most important historical ensembles and orchestras all over Europe. They try to get as close as possible to the authentic sound of the old epochs, playing original 18th-century instruments and their copies, and drawing knowledge from old treatises, letters and manuscripts.

Very special part of the Cornu Copiae's repertoire are concertos for more then one solo instrument and pieces in which every musician has a space to show her/his musical individuality, temperament and creativity. Ornamentations and improvisation bring us a lot of joy!

The orchestra performs in Poland, taking part in festivals such as Annum Festival, Early Music in Wilanów or Summer Concerts at Grochowska (Sinfonia Varsovia). Cornu Copiae also performed abroad, at the Sokolnice Žíjí Hudbou festival in the Czech Republic and in Germany, where in 2019 performed the Messiah oratorio together with Jugenkonzertchor Bonn.
